http://onproductmanagement.org/2009/03/29/social-media-pt4/ We had our first “at home” day in a while this morning.
http://healthplanfinder.co/pma/index.php The girls played dress-up, Lincoln Logs, rode bikes and scooters, colored with chalk, played on the playground…
Meanwhile, I did a load of laundry and a load of dishes…
Fed the chickens. Rescued one of the chickens from being eaten by the dogs…
Fed the tortoise…
And when it was time for lunch, I started cutting up an apple and some cucumber slices.
On a cutting board.
Then I got the brilliant idea to put all of our food on the cutting board.
And just let everyone eat what they wanted.
Hence, the Indoor Family Picnic Lunch was born.
I have been dreaming about food since I was on the 3-Day Refresh.
I took out a whole chicken to cook on Sunday night and we didn’t eat it until Thursday night! LOL
For our chicken, I cooked it on a roasting pan with a rack (so it didn’t sit in the juices and got all soggy)
I wanted it to be crispy!
One of the things I didn’t touch on too much in my last post about Camping with Kids was food
And let’s face it…
Toddlers NEED food…
They get HANGRY…
So, here’s what we packed for our weekend trip (we had a refrigerator, also):
I’m a day (or two) late and a dollar short, but we just finished all of our St. Patrick’s Day activities!
We started out with a very green breakfast. These are Mini De Wafelbakkers Frozen Pancakes I got from the frozen food aisle at Publix. I microwaved them for about 30 seconds, topped with whipped cream and Airhead Xtremes Rainbow. I had to cut the Airhead a little to get it to bend correctly.
Then, we had some Lucky Charms (my husband was more excited than the kids!) and some green milk I dyed with green food coloring.
