And when it was time for lunch, I started cutting up an apple and some cucumber slices.

Then I got the brilliant idea to put all of our food on the cutting board.
And just let everyone eat what they wanted.
Hence, the Indoor Family Picnic Lunch was born.
After having family in town, a bachelorette party, our anniversary, a wedding and the Fourth ofJuly, I had indulged quite a bit over the last couple of months…
and was feeling bloated and just all-around yucky…
Enter the 3-Day Refresh.
I had done it once before (successfully)
And failed miserably the time I tried to do it with my husband (eek).
I just finished the cleanse and here are my results:

To get the results, here’s what I ate for 3 days:
This Fourth of July, we had a ‘Murica pool party at our house.
I started by looking for some red, white and blue food on Pinterest.
I also got some pretty sweet balloons from Publix.
Watermelon, raspberries, cherries and strawberries were the red.
Blueberries were the blue.
And the white was yogurt-covered pretzels.
I made some brownies and used a star-shaped cookie cutter to cut them out and then drizzled them with some red frosting and blue sprinkles.
I also used the cookie cutter for the watermelon.
For our drinks, we made Peach Iced Tea Whiskey from Tasty and it was delicious!

So, here’s what we packed for our weekend trip (we had a refrigerator, also):
I’m a day (or two) late and a dollar short, but we just finished all of our St. Patrick’s Day activities!
We started out with a very green breakfast. These are Mini De Wafelbakkers Frozen Pancakes I got from the frozen food aisle at Publix. I microwaved them for about 30 seconds, topped with whipped cream and Airhead Xtremes Rainbow. I had to cut the Airhead a little to get it to bend correctly.
Then, we had some Lucky Charms (my husband was more excited than the kids!) and some green milk I dyed with green food coloring.
